He's a big boy bean!

We all know that Luca is bigger, stronger and louder than the average bear. Although he says about 20-30 words at 16 months, which is average, he's always been a caveman. He'd much rather grunt, clobber people and scream to get his point across. We knew that he could say a lot more than he was letting on. Regardless of the fact that he is bigger than his older brothers, he enjoys being the baby of the bunch.

In the past few days, he's proved us right. First saying, strawberry, banana and broccoli. Once he saw how much excitement his new vocabulary received, he decided it was time to really bring it. We were playing in the backyard and Luca decided to go toe to toe with the patio umbrella. He was shaking it saying, "I'm gonna git you, git you", which is something that his daddy says just about everyday. I was so excited that I immediately sent a text message out to everyone letting them know how brilliant my child was. Then the next day Brian was going to put Luca to bed. Luca suddenly shouted, "NO! I want Mama!". That was my personal favorite. After he went to bed, Brian walked back into our bedroom and pointed out how Luca has totally worked us over. All this time he was grunting and getting us to do everything for him. Now, every word that comes out of his mouth makes us jump for joy and think he's a genius. Quite the little master mind and we've all played right into his chubby little hand. Not only is he bigger, stronger, louder, but in the wise words of Yogi Bear, he's also smarter than the average bear.
